Nerdbux under Denial of Service Attack on 14th October 2013

Today about 06am (IST) NerdBux users received an email from Justin Ledvina- CEO of TimTech LLC revealing the NerdBux is under a heavy Denial of Service attack. It has caused Nerdbux to go offline. The email is as followed:
Hi

Yesterday I was quite excited about the coming holiday season as you already know from my last email. Well it seems not everyone likes to be happy with us. We are currently under a heavy Denial of Service attack and this has caused Nerdbux to go offline.
This is sad news indeed but I'm not going to allow some grumpy Gus ruin our excitement.
I'll will extend all ads and rented referrals so no one loses anything. No need to send in a support ticket we're going to do it for everyone as soon as we can. Beyond that look for some special treats inside the members area so we can get this party rocking again!

Thank you all for being the best members on the planet and for your patience while some internet trolls try to ruin our fun.

What is a Denial of Service (DoS) attack

A denial-of-service attack (DoS attack) or distributed denial-of-service attack (DDoS attack) is an attempt to make a machine or network resource unavailable to its intended users. Although the means to carry out, motives for, and targets of a DoS attack may vary, it generally consists of efforts to temporarily or indefinitely interrupt or suspend services of a host connected to the Internet.

Increasingly, DoS attacks have also been used as a form of resistance. DoS they say is a tool for registering dissent. Richard Stallman has stated that DoS is a form of 'Internet Street Protests’. The term is generally used relating to computer networks, but is not limited to this field; for example, it is also used in reference to CPU resource management.
