Nerdbux Feature Requests- A Generous Research

Dear Nerbux,
Don't get mad. This is me speaking for my doubts. Are you going to change your game plan in the near future? You can simply ignore this. But please think again before you do that.

Why people don't click ads on Nerdbux

If you haven't done this research already, this it for you:

Unfamiliar theme

Yes, in PTC world, beginners start using Neobux. Everyone knows that. And he/she get used to site features. Neobux view ads page is really simple. It's a one reason ProBux is getting succeeded. Their page, colors and everything is similar to Neobux. People don't have to learn from the beginning to use ProBux.

In the other hand, Nerdbux view ads page is not that simple. It's not eye candy.

  • Ad links are way too big.
  • Page is too large.

I'm saying this from a ad viewer's point of view. When I look at your 'view ads' page, I feel there are too many less worthy ads ($0.001). Make them smaller like your mini ads. They are clickable.

AdBlock Extensions/Addons

Nerbux View Ads Page with AdBlock Enabled
This is really important! Now a days, most people use extensions/addons like AdBlock. Your ads are blocked by them. When I visit your 'view ads' page for the first time, there was nothing. I thought it's because my first day and I left. Same thing happened next day too. So I realize it was AdBlocker. So I whitelisted Nerdbux. Then I could see the ads. Even though I came again next day, most people won't. Even if they do, the won't realize it was adblocker.

Use a script to inform users to disable AdBlock for this page or list ads using JavaScripts disabling the ability to block by adblock extensions.

Less worthy ads

You have too many $0.001 ads. Encourage advertisers to advertise at least $0.005 worthy ads. And display them wisely. Kids will click 80 $0.001 ads. But other people don't have that time.

To be successful

Deduction of Rental Price

A standard member has to pay $0.20 per referral. That means that referral has to click at least 14 $0.001 ads per day just to cover his cost. It's very unlikely to happen with everyone. Either increase number of worthy ads or reduce rent price for a referral. You won't get much of profit right away. But it's a worthy long shot. Giving lifetime memberships to earn some quick cash will do more damage than it looks.

Change of referral click commission

If you can't follow the previous suggestion, change the way you pay to your upline. 50% for standard members and 100% upgraded members (another catch to get members upgraded). Use a fixed commission per click like normal sites do. Otherwise the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Even that's not for a long time: rich will get poorer soon. Nerdbux is still a new site. So there are many newcomers. So people get direct referrals. That's the only way to survive on Nerdbux- Direct Referrals. But but happened after one or two years? Either you are planning to change your policies by then or.....

Yes, you can say 'Nerdbux is NOT an investment site' when people complain about low profit and their lost. But try to realize why they say it. Do a poll to get user opinions. Ask how many people could cover at least their cost for referrals. We all know that Timtech has 11 years of advertising experience. You have product lines more than your team members. If you keep going this way with Nerdbux, one drop could ruin 11 years of success. Goodluck!

Update: 06th October, 2013
Nerdbux fixed ads promotion is over. It means you won't get 80 ads per day anymore. Advertisers are waiting for the next promotion. But looks like it will never come back. Read Jon Olson(Co-Owner of NerdBux & CMO of TimTech)'s comment Here.
Not sure we will be doing a fixed ad discount this time around. We need to manage it as more and more members come online. We lost about 250 bucks per Fixed Ad we sold in the last promo. Can't do that forever

Again..
this isn't an investment site. so you didn't 'invest' in anything.

  1. You said it right. Never invest on Nerdbux. It's a pure lost.

This is my payment to them
    This is my referral clicks

As you can see it's a lost. And wasted about $10 to advertise them.It was a mistake. Even recycled referrals don't click.

  2. "ads are blocked by Adblock". Really? Surely that is obvious.
